Archival Oils Smooth Gel Medium - 300ml

The Archival Oils Smooth Gel Medium resembles unpigmented oil paint and is excellent for heavy impasto work. The pasty, alkyd resin medium is fast drying and makes paint go further without loss of body or intensity. It can be used for impasto glazes. Use 1:1 for thick, impasto painting (15-60mm). It is also used by painters who want less extreme applications of paint to dry quickly and retain mark and texture while being brushable and easy to manipulate at the same time. This applied paint sets up before it dries, facilitating wet-on-wet techniques but it also blends wet-in-wet when worked in with the brush or knife.
